Front-mounted seats are a great option for parents of young toddlers who want to be close to their child and engage with them during a ride. Hearing and communicating with a child in a seat behind you or in a trailer is very difficult, but is very easy with front-mounted seats. Front-seats, however, can greatly limit the space of the adult rider. The amount of space needed varies from seat to seat. The design and size of the adult’s bike frame also make a significant difference, so be sure to check your bike before you order a seat.
