woom Balance Bike Strap and Bag – Why There are a Game Changer!
Balance bikes are light but are not exactly easy to carry. On their own they’re manageable, even for long distances, but not while also carrying your stubborn or tired toddler. In a split second, toddlers can go from happy to meltdown, whether it be in your front yard or a mile away from home.
In the event of such occurrences, or even just to carry the bike from the park to your car, woom bikes has got you covered. First, their amazingly simple, yet extremely affected bike carrying strap. Short, easy to use and padded for comfort, the strap easily wraps about the rear tire and the front headset of the bike.
Compatible with any balance bike with a “T-shaped” headset (where the handlebars meet the frame), the carrying strap easily tags along with you (I like to wrap it around my wrist). To keep it portable, the center portion of the strap is elastic and stretches out when it use. While the strap does seems a little short, once in use, it holds the bike at a comfortable position close to the hips so as to not bounce around when walking.
For times when would you to carry along some snacks, a sippy cup or even a diaper and wipes, woom offers a carrying bag. Made of soft cotton and Spandex with an elastic draw-string top, the bag is very soft, lightweight and easily holds all the essential toddler paraphernalia. The bag is only one large pocket, so it isn’t ideal for storing small items like keys or a phone. Fitting most 12″ balance bike, the bag is too small for 14″ balance bikes.
Bottom Line
For $15, the woom strap is a lifesaver as well as an arm saver! Working with essentially any 12″ balance bike with a standard headset, the strap is a no-brainer. For longer trips where snacks, sippy cups, and other toddler “must haves”, woom carrying bag is available for $19.
